George J. Maalouf, Ph.D.

VP Research Computing, Machine Learning, and IS/IT Dr. Maalouf has over 35 years of experience with scientific computing and information technology. He received his Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics from Harvard University and his B.S. in Chemistry from MIT. Dr. Maalouf has served as Head of Bioinformatics at Genetics Institute, Director of Computational Biology at Digital Equipment Corporation, Vice President of Research Computing at NeoGenesis Pharmaceuticals, and CIO/COO at Genomix Corporation (the GRAIL gene finder). He is an early adopter of precision medicine, machine learning, and cloud computing, decades ago. His expertise encompasses merging experiment and computation to achieve translational milestones.
